On November 8, 2025, two students, Tran Duy Thanh and Nguyen Vu Hoai Dong (class 22NH111), under the guidance of Dr. Nguyen Van Hai and MSc. Le Quoc Dinh from the Faculty of Finance – Accounting, won the Second prize in the Economics – Social Sciences category at the 2025 Student Science and Technology Awards. The event, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in collaboration with Nha Trang University, aimed to recognize outstanding student research projects from higher education institutions across the country.

Their project, titled “The impact of digital financial inclusion and financial development on global unemployment and lessons for Vietnam” impressed the judging panel with its modern research approach, practical relevance, and contemporary significance.
In 2025, the competition attracted 628 research projects from 112 universities nationwide divided into six fields. Only 125 projects advanced to the final round. The LHU team was among the few representatives in the economics–social sciences category invited to present directly before the national evaluation committee.
This achievement is a well-deserved recognition of the relentless efforts of both the students and their mentors at the Faculty of Finance - Accounting. It not only reaffirms LHU’s reputation and quality of education but also inspires future generations of students to pursue research, creativity, and integration, further enhancing the University’s standing within Vietnam’s academic community.
