LHU hosts Vietnam - Japan Friendship Cultural Exchange Program in Dong Nai 2024

On November 30, 2024, at the Auditorium A301, Campus 1, LHU, the Dong Nai Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, the Provincial Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association in collaboration with LHU organized the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Cultural Exchange Program in 2024.

Attending the event were Mr. Furudate Seiki, Deputy Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association and many members of the Association. From LHU, there were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Vice Rector; Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghi - Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, along with lecturers and students.

The event is an opportunity for LHU students as well as people in Dong Nai to have a clearer view of the cultures of Vietnam and Japan. With the goal of building and cultivating the traditional friendship, the program created a space for exchange, sharing and spreading the cultural values, people, as well as the development achievements of the two countries.

At the program, all the participants enjoyed various music performances, culinary booths introducing some typical Vietnamese and Japanese dishes and visited the exhibition of Vietnam - Japan friendship paintings done by Dong Nai students...

On this occasion, the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association awarded 42 prizes to students for their outstanding achievements in the competitions: Vietnam - Japan friendship painting, Haiku poetry writing and Japanese speech.

The program not only welcomed the 3rd Congress of the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations, term 2024 - 2029 but also celebrated the 51st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. LHU continues to affirm its pioneering role in promoting cultural exchange, accompanying the community and fostering strong connections among the people of Vietnam and Japan.
