Introduction

Training orientation

The Faculty of  Mechatronics and Electronics has always maintained and promoted the tradition of training and doing scientific research with such majors as Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Automation and Control Engineering Technology, and Automotive Engineering Technology. We always create better conditions and environments for breakthrough ideas, professional training and career devotion to serve the society.

Educational Objectives

  • To meet the needs of enterprises in technical human resources with high expertise and perfect skills in the workplace.
  • To form the life-long self-learning and research abilities among the students.
  • To build a contingent of scientific researchers and technological developers with high quality to serve the society.

Student outcomes

The training programs of the Mechatronics and Electronics Faculty aims to develop the student's main skills as follows:

  • Being able  to apply mathematical knowledge and basic science to the technical profession;
  • Being able to self-design and conduct experiments and researchers and analyze and interpret of research data;
  • Having skills to with machinery and industrial equipment;
  • Being able to apply technological breakthroughs in designing equipment and production systems;
  • Being able to communicate, work in teams and manage projects;
  • Being able to perceive the influence of technology on the environment and society;
  • Being dedicated to work and having social responsibility;
  • Being able to speak foreign languages such as English and Japanese in specialized fields;

Education program

Currently, the Faculty has 4 training programs:

  1. Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology (EEET);
  2. Mechatronics Engineering Technology (MET);
  3. Automation and Control Engineering Technology (ACET);
  4. Automotive Engineering Technology (AET);

Specialized majors with a variety of training systems cover the fundamental knowledge to guide and enable students to orient themselves in learning; deepening research depth; and apply their knowledge into the workplace, the reality in factories, and enterprises.

Scientific research and technology transfer

Accompanying the career training work, the Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics also strengthens the work of scientific research,into new prospective fields which serve the development of the country such as:

  • Biomedical Engineering / Bio-Mechatronics (Bio-Mechanical / Bio-MEMS)
  • Renew Energy (Solar / Wind Energy, Fuel cell)
  • Micro-Molding (Micro / Nano Injection Molding)
  • Embedded technology FPGA
  • Industrial robots

The facilitation of overseas study among the faculty staff has also given rise to and laid the foundations for the faculty to enhance the research and development all of the above-mentioned majors in the coming years. While studying abroad, the lecturers have directly participated in prestigious international conferences and published scientific articles with high impact factor.

Cooperation in the research and development of products based on the needs of the enterprises is also one of the major guidelines and priorities of the faculty to apply scientific research into the practical application of production. Over the past years, we have cooperated with a numerous of big manufacturing enterprises such as Nec/Tokin, Plus, Esquel Garment Hong Kong, etc. to research and manufacture machines for production.

ROBOCON and the movements

The Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics is always enthusiastic in the science and technology playground, especially the ROBOCON competitions. Being aware that this is an opportunity for students to improve their knowledge and skills,  we are particularly interested in supporting and encouraging students to participate in domestic and international competitions. Our students have proven their skills and knowledge in competitions and won awards such as 6  1st prizes, 2  2nd prizes, 8  3rd prizes, and many other prizes. We are honor to represent  the Vietnamese team for 6-consecutive years in  the Asia Pacific Robocon (ABU) competitions, in which we won 4  second prizes, 2  3rd prizes, and two championships in 2014 and 2017

In addition, at the Shell Eco-Marathon 2016 (EMC 2016) in the Philippines, Vietnamese team LH Gold Energy again defeated 129 teams from 17 countries in the region. In pursuit of the accomplishments, we were honored again at the award ceremony of EMC the 2017. These achievements mark our success in the technology competitions.

Meet the needs of the enterprise

All enterprises need a team of engineer and skilled technicians to operate and repair the electrical machinery or mechanical equipment, therefore they need our graduates. Especially, after their six-month apprenticeship in companies and factories, all of our graduates were recruited to work with high salary commensurate with their competence.
